NSC Service Members

Requirements of Membership

In addition to meeting the Performance Standards, and purchasing the required Class A and Class B stock, a member must be able to meet these requirements to be part of the NSC:

  • Be a company that is primarily and actively engaged in the repair and service of foodservice equipment.
  • Must have 50% of its service staff factory trained or industry certified.
  • In-house capabilities to repair and bench test gas, electric, and steam equipment, and be capable of hosting in-house training seminars.
  • Directly provide service on gas, electric and steam equipment and either directly or indirectly provide service for refrigeration, microwave and beverage dispensing equipment.
  • Must have uniformed technicians.
  • Provide the NSC with a general letter from its banking institution stating that the member applicant possesses adequate financial resources to meet its obligations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of continuous operation as a company engaged in the providing of service and parts for commercial foodservice equipment.
  • Not be an owner in a company that manufactures, distributes or sells commercial foodservice equipment.
  • Maintain in force a public liability and property damage insurance policy in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00.
  • Not be an owner or have an ownership interest in foodservice operation.

Upon completion of the necessary enrollment forms and providing proof of compliance with requirements, the proposed member's application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors for membership.
